Environment
Enerji will be a green-tech electricity generator. We will be a greenhouse gas abatement generator rather than a renewable energy generator.

Our services will help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by using heat that is currently discarded to generate useful power. In fact, up to 30% more power without using any more fuel or emitting any more CO2.

If we could apply our services and technology to all Australian industry and power generation facilities, the largest emitters of GHG, we would reduce the GHG emissions from these industries by between 20% and 30%. A major step towards meeting the country's aspirational target of a 25% reduction by 2020.

It is a well established fact that when we burn fossil fuel to generate power, only about 38% of the energy released is converted to power. This means that about 62% is wasted most of which goes up the exhaust pipe as heat. This shown below for the case of a diesel engine.

Enerji will increase the work produced to approximately 50% - a 30% increase in efficiency.

What impact does this have on the environment and climate change?

For every Opcon Powerbox that Enerji operates (0.74MW), we will save the equivalent of 3,240 tonnes of CO2 compared to burning coal to generate the same power.

As the Opcon Powerbox requires existing processes or equipment in order to operate, it will always be located at a site that has already been impacted environmentally. As such, Enerji will not impact the environment in which it locates its Opcon Powerboxes in any material way and will not require environmental approval.
